En quiltebutikk i Berlin - A quilting shop in Berlin

My visit in Berlin this time included a visit to a quilting shop. Before I left Norway, I had searched the net, and one of the shops that was highly praised was Volksfaden. It is situated in the Schöneberg part of the old West Berlin. We then got to leave the touristic part of the city. Iside the shop we met Linda Gaylord, an American woman who has lived in Berlin for over 25 years. She was a nice lady who was easy to talk with while she cut my fabrics.

The shop had lots of great and colourful fabrics, buttons, ribbons and patterns. It was hard to choose what to buy, but I ended up with fabric for a summer dress, a skrit pattern, a few buttons and a couple of fabrics for my already too big fabric stash.

Butikken holder til i Crellestrasse 17. Er du heldig treffer du Bruce, butikkeiernes hund. Han danset rundt for oss langveisfarende gjester.  Her er hjemmesida til butikken og her er bloggen. Tusen takk for dansen, Bruce.

The shop lies in Crellestrasse 17. If you are lucky, you will meet Bruce, the shop owner's dog. He danced for us. Here is the shop's webpage and here is the blog. Thank you for the dance, Bruce. It was so nice to visit both you and the shop :-)
